Gathered in His arms. . . 11 He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young. (‭Isaiah‬ ‭40‬:‭11‬ ESV)‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬. . . One of the most treasured sights of Spring is to see the lambs leaping for joy in the fields. There is an abandonment that comes from new life and discovery. Our next door neighbours have two young sons and it is fantastic to stop and enjoy the excitement of their world. Everything is new and vibrant, looking through the eyes of a child we too can see once again the awe and wonder. . .
Makes me think was this what Jesus was referring to when He said we must be like a child to enter the kingdom of God. But along with this sense of wonderment there is a fragility, we encourage our children to take brave steps, with them safe in the knowledge that they can run back into our arms. Jesus does the same for us, He wants us to grow and develop, and we too when we stumble or feel unsure can come running back into His everlasting arms. . . Is there any better place to be than resting in His arms, resting our Heads on His Chest, being reassured by Heartbeat. Sometimes we are so worn out that He has to carry us, just like the Shepherd carrying His lambs. . . “I’m leaning, leaning save and secure from all alarms, I’m leaning, leaning, leaning on the Everlasting arms “. . #souvenirs_de_vie #lifemoments #dailydevotions #followingjesus #memories #wisdom #gospel #bible #goodnews #praise #worship #christianblogger #manofgod #encouragement #christianblog #bibleverse #teamjesus #photos #photography
