I wanna hold your hand. . 13 For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, "Fear not, I am the one who helps you." (Isaiah 41:13 ESV). . Holding hands, what a wonderful thing of love and friendship. One of my fondest memories is walking along the promenade at Skegness, a coastal resort in Lincolnshire, I cannot remember what had caused me to fall behind, but up in front were my grandparents holding hands still very much in love and devoted to each other. . When we first learn to walk our parents hold our hands, to help us balance, and then as we get more daring, they insist we hold hands when crossing the road or walking along a busy street. . There can be hour upon hour of talking as we get to know our partner, but holding hands is an affirmation of the relationship, may be initially a secret touch wanting to keep that intimate moment just between the two of us, but developing into a declaration that the world can see. . We have been married 33 years and still hold hands, a sign to each other that whatever we are going through we are still there for each other. . On holiday recently, we were walking back to the car from the restaurant and was walking in front of our son and daughter in law, and I smiled as she noticed our clasped hands, nudged her husband and said “life lesson”. . I’ve observed people in hospital lying in bed, their loved one feeling totally inadequate yet each stretches out their hand to the other. I am with you even to the end. .. God offers His outstretched hand to each of ours, we can walk hand in hand with Him all the days of our life. Greater still for the believer that as we cross over from this world to our heavenly home He will still be holding our hand saying, “fear not”. #souvenirs_de_vie #lifemoments #dailydevotions #followingjesus #memories #wisdom #gospel #bible #goodnews #praise #worship #christianblogger #manofgod #encouragement #christianblog #bibleverse #teamjesus #photos #photography
