Playing My Music. . The Lord will save me, and we will play my music on stringed instruments all the days of our lives, at the house of the Lord. (‭Isaiah‬ ‭38‬:‭20‬ ESV)‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬. . How can I be confident that God will save me? How can I be confident that my salvation is assured? Why because he has promised. These promises are contained in the Bible. But how can I be sure that the Bible is true? Many people struggle with these sorts of questions. . . When does the Bible stop being a library of 66 books and become the divinely inspired authority of the believer. This is perhaps where it starts; with belief. Deep down inside us is a knowledge that there is more to life than being born, living and dying. Yes, these things will physically happen, but we are made up of more than flesh and blood. We have a spirit too. . . Some try to suppress this, others go chasing after spiritualism and mystical powers. It has been the same since humans started walking the Earth, but there is a fundamental foundation of Christian belief; in the beginning was God. He was there at the beginning of creation. . . Whatever the latest theory of how our universe came into existence, we come back to the conclusion that some thing caused it to happen. . . Just like music, creation needed a creator. Now I know that my attempts to make music are weak, but if I do not strum the strings there will be do sound, if I do not sing I will have no song. I’m intrigued by the plurality in the verse “we will play”, it seems to suggest that others will join in, but they will be playing my music. Maybe we will take turns, maybe it will be so harmonious that one life song will seamlessly flow into the next. . . I do know that we need to keep our eyes on the conductor on this heavenly orchestra because through Him alone will come the glorious songs of heaven. #souvenirs_de_vie #lifemoments #dailydevotions #followingjesus #memories #wisdom #gospel #bible #goodnews #praise #worship #christianblogger #manofgod #encouragement #photos #photography
