What is good?

God has also revealed to us “what is good”. Do you want to know what it is? It is all revealed in His Word, the Bible. It starts with creation, an amazing process, which is totally beyond our comprehension. We can look at the simplest of organisms and still marvel in its complexity. Humanity strives to find what brought life to our planet and maybe the universes beyond. I do not know how but I am utterly convinced there had to be a creator and intelligent design is evident wherever we look.

What is Good? . “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” ‭‭Micah‬ ‭6:8‬ ‭ESV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬ My mum has a phrase which she still uses on me even though I’m fifty-six. “I’m telling you”, this is said without gusto and emphasis that really says son, listen, I have life experiences that go beyond your own, even though I’m in my latter years you need to listen to me. This is the basis of my belief in God, He is the creator of all, and He has told us that it is good. I believe that God leads, guides and directs my life. I believe he saved me and paid the price of my sin. I also believe that the Lord has requirements of me, there are expectations of me which He asks me to follow. The choice is mine and I choose to follow. This does not mean that I get everything right, it does not mean that I do not slip up, but I do want to live my life in the way that He would want of me. So often we hear the phrase “it’s not fair” as if this then gives us licence to be unjust. Was it fair that Jesus was falsely accused, was it fair the way He was treated, was it fair that He was bruised and scourged, was it fair that He would take the sins of the World upon Him and die in our place. Living in the footsteps as a follower of Jesus means I desire to do everything I can to live a live that is just. He is God and He is just, but He is also kind and merciful. He does not treat me in the manner that I deserve; I am redeemed, restored and forgive. He his worthy of all my worship and praise. #souvenirs_de_vie #lifemoments #dailydevotions
