An ever flowing stream

What if the water falling through our lives was a stream of justice. The sound of water cascading on the rocks, soothes our soul, the air is cool, moist and refreshing for all that come to its shores.

An ever-flowing stream “Take away from me the noise of your songs; to the melody of your harps I will not listen. But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.” ‭‭Amos‬ ‭5:23-24‬ ‭ESV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬ Singing is a wonderful gift, music has the power and reach, to go beyond the spoken word. Why would God reject our praise and worship? our lives play out a greater melody, the way we act, the way we treat others. When we present our worship with a heart attitude that is out of time with the will of God, it is not melodic it is discordant. I wonder sometimes when we feel we are disconnected with God, when our songs feel as they are falling on deaf ears, do we stop and examine our own lives? What if the water falling through our lives was a stream of justice. The sound of water cascading on the rocks, soothes our soul, the air is cool, moist and refreshing for all that come to its shores.
