So many of us live our lives with scant regard to the fact that God sees everything that we do. I remember that when our children were young they were playing in an adjacent room with their friends when everything suddenly went quiet. “ don’t even think about doing that“ I said instinctively and I heard a whispered reply “how does he know?“ ⠀ ⠀

⠀ ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭19:7‬ ‭ESV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬ ⠀ ⠀ So many of us live our lives with scant regard to the fact that God sees everything that we do. I remember that when our children were young they were playing in an adjacent room with their friends when everything suddenly went quiet. “ don’t even think about doing that“ I said instinctively and I heard a whispered reply “how does he know?“ ⠀ ⠀ They were oblivious to the fact that as a parent if everything goes quiet something is normally amiss. Also at that age there is no comprehension that we were also once children and did similar things with our friends.
⠀ ⠀ As adults we keep up this pretence doing things, saying things, even thinking things in secret that we never think would come into the light. We are living in a time when the closest of scrutinies is been placed on each of us. Sometimes we find this intrusive but most of the time we do not realise is actually happening.
⠀ ⠀ How much of what we do is actually godly? How much of it would we be ashamed of if we were caught out? Thankfully we can turn our eyes to Jesus and as we repent all of our past is redeemed, there is no condemnation, we have been set free. Our part is now to live the life He has called us to and walk in the light and not the shadows
