Clear out the dross Like a muddied spring or a polluted fountain is a righteous man who gives way before the wicked.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭25:26‬ ‭ESV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬ When something of beauty is polluted and contaminated how do we react? Do we just walk on by either through indifference or a refusal to take on responsibility? Just because we have not caused or been instrumental in creating the pollution. Springs and fountains are places of refreshing, to keep us satisfied and quench our thirst, but would you drink from a contaminated source. When we give in to something that we know is not wholesome, when we allow ourselves to be influenced by the ungodly, it is like emptying our trash can, into the source of our life. We no longer can refresh ourselves or have the capacity to refresh others.
