This is the one who will save us, this is the one who will release us from captivity. He is coming. The lame can walk, the blind can see, the deaf can hear, He is coming. “Praise him for his mighty deeds. The crowd is jeering, the streets are hostile, but, He is coming. Who hit you? Save yourself? Who do you think you are? The taunts are flying, but still, He is coming. Alone on a cross, nothing to look at, despised, rejected, crying out, “my God, my God why have you forsaken me?” He gives up His life, but still, He is coming. The temple curtain is torn in two, the ground shakes, the dead are raised to life, He is buried, but still, He is coming. A new day dawns, the tomb is empty, “why are you looking for the living among the dead?” The victory is won, He is still coming and now he waits for His Father to give the command for His return.
